We are planning all kinds of exciting things for our Alpaca Tracks T(h)read Lightly''s Annual Fall Fiesta/Culture Days
Calling all knitters and crocheters!
Pull our your needles or hook . . . it is time to knit or crochet an infant hat.
What is this all about? Alpaca Tracks T(h)read Lightly will donate enough yarn to knit/crochet
20 x Period of Purple Crying Caps

When: Saturday, Sept. 30th
Time: starting at 11:00
We will be knitting & crocheting infant hats. Each and every day infants across Canada are shaken and abused because the person caring for them became frustrated with their crying. Many times the abuse could have been prevented had the person caring for the infant only known that early infant crying may be normal. (for more info. visit: http://clickforbabies.org/partners/ontario.php)
CLICK for Babies is a North America initiative to help educate caregivers about normal infant crying, how to cope with crying and the dangers of reacting to crying in frustration by shaking or harming an infant
Even if you have never knitted before come out and I am sure that one or our participants will be happy to teach you.
What to bring:
Please bring water, chair, tent for shade (if you have one), snacks and your knitting needles or crochet hooks. We will have cakes of approx. 100 yards of various weights of purple alpaca yarn available. (enough for 20 hats) If you would like to bring your own yarn, please do so.
